October is one of my FAVORITE months of the year. Mainly because it is my daughters birthday month, but also because of Halloween. As she gets older this time of year becomes more fun! We decided to create a BOO Kit for her Mommy & Me class teacher. Walmart is the one-stop shop for building a creative BOO’ing Kit this Halloween! Want to learn more about how you can BOO It Forward? Find more out at BOOItForward.com? You can download and print your own BOO Kit card here.
If you do not have one locally you can also shop Walmart.com and grab all the essentials to assemble a BOO’ing bundle at home. For our BOO Kit this year I grabbed a Fun Size variety pack of M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, TWIX® along with a bag of Fun Size Skittles®, and a snack size of Cheez-It®. I had these window clings left over from decorations to the house. These super cute Ghostbusters® notepads were too cute not to pass up; and what’s a BOO Kit without some ghosts? Have you checked out the movie yet? You’ve got to see it! Ghostbusters® is available on Blu-ray and DVD in stores, at Walmart 10/11 and can be pre-ordered on Blu-ray or DVD now! Ghostbusters® is also available on VUDU.
Along with the plastic witches calderon, American Greetings® tissue paper, some ghostly goody bags and glittered spiders my kit was ready to be assembled.
First I packed one of each delicious candies into the bag.
Next I used the spider to tie off the bag. The tie wrap that held the spider to the packaging was re-purposed into a tie wrap for the bag!
So creepy cute right? I loved it. I did the same with the remaining candy in the bags. My daughter’s teacher could use the candy to take home.
For the calderon I used the window clings, the front page of the notepad and some double sided tape to decorate the outside.
I stuffed the inside with a white towel that I had in the laundry room that I wouldn’t mind doing without. You can use any kind of filler you have available. I then covered the towel in the black tissue paper and began to add in my goodies. I had some cute Halloween knickknacks found at the thrift shop that I threw into the calderon as well for added decor. Final step was to print my BOO card, you can download and print all your BOO Kit card.
As my daughter says, TA DAHHHHH! You’re ready to hand out your BOO Kit!
